"If I just put a sentence in quotes, it looks like I said something smart."
Based in Mantorp, a small village in the south of Sweden, I travel all over for shoots. I find that the country side is a perfect place to restore and feel rooted in between traveling. When I do not work I find myself enjoying the company of tea, family, friends, food, dogs and pretty things.
I work with various magazines all over the world creating features made in collaboration with talented stylists and writers to deliver the best material possible. While I mainly shoot interior and food, lifestyle portraits are something I am passionate about and I have the pleasure of providing and creating pictures to amazing companies.
Traveling is necessary in my profession, and when I need to stay over night somewhere I put a lot of time into researching hotels. Hotel rooms need to be special, beautiful och have a warm atmosphere to make me feel selected and welcome. When I stumble upon hotel gems, I feel a creative responsibility to capture them simply for my own pleasure.
I'm a hard working, selfmade woman but being a photographer wasn't on my to-do-list. I've learned that some of the best things in life can't be planed (even if I'm big on both lists and organization). After I finished my Master's degree in Medical Biology in 2012, taking a leap into a creative business isn't what one is supposed to do. That's exactly why I needed to do it.
Structure your day around your breaks for tea and fika. Sitting down with a friend or client for a steaming hot cup green tea is one of my passions. I find that those moments of peace, time and sharing is perfect for new ideas and projects. I can sit for hours straight just talking about business and life. My favorite tea is green with lemon, and favorite sweet is chocolate buttercream macaroons.
